SIVIT is investing in production spaces and building a new shed, approximately 100m long, next to its existing facilities in Turin. The latest enlargement, completed in April 2021, covers an area of around 500 m2 and will intended mainly to store raw materials, in particular mineral fillers and quartz.
The choice shows a strong desire for growth in a sector in turmoil for the plenty of changes and prospects of use of resins and despite the difficulties of the historical moment

IT IS TIME FOR DECISIONS
We should make a few points about the global situation. 2021 started with the so-called perfect storm that is testing the entire plastics and shipbuilding industry for price growth; the Covid-19 pandemic does not suggest a concrete truce; the sector of resins for the paving of civil, industrial and public surfaces, also for hospital, pharmaceutical and food applications, is gaining wider and wider consensus.
Quality resins gain agreement because their performance is more than convincing in every area of use. In recent years, those who have been able to work with determination in research, experimentation and proposal of versatile solutions, durable and accessible, has expanded their market in an interesting way. New sectors, new uses, new Countries have welcomed resins as a durable standard material, adaptable and beautiful to look at.

OUR CHOICES
SIVIT was founded in 1974 in Turin, where are its production and logistic plant and the lab where new materials and new solution are designed.
Over the years, from Turin, has been able to broaden its commercial interest’s horizon, first at the national level and then abroad, consolidating over the last decade important sales in different countries.
The origin and heart of Sivit have always been in Turin, where the company’s headquarters and factory are located and where in the early 1970s was bougth an area of about 10,000 m2, which had covered spaces for about 3,000 m2. Over the years Sivit has worked to make the indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for modern production and with special attention to improving the quality of products and working conditions. One of the most recent interventions led in the autumn of 2017 to the inauguration of a new two-storey building for a total of 600 m2, which now houses modern laboratories and offices.

NEW SIVIT SHED IN TURIN
The recent intervention, in April 2021, led to the construction of a new shed, which covers an area of about 500 m2. The construction of the shed involved the creation of a concrete base, on which a movable steel structure was laid, closed at the top and side with a PVC sheet, except for one side that flanks an external wall of the Plant
An adequate resin cycle obviously completed the building’s floor functionally and aesthetically. Once the structure was completed, modern racks were installed for a length of about 100 meters, intended to store raw materials, in particular mineral fillers and quartz.
In this way the remaining covered spaces of the Plant are better organized, optimizing the logistic flows as the renewal of some part of the production plant is the next step planned by the Management.
