The ErreLAB annual agents plenary meeting was held on Thursday 11 March.

ErreLAB is a Turin base company owned by Sivit and Covema at 50%

ErreLAB has been on the resin market for almost 10 years and is a company dedicated specifically to decorative coatings.

For the first time, the annual meeting was held via the web and not in person as in the previous years. The meeting, which lasted about two hours, began at 5.30 pm and saw the participation of the entire Sales Network, made up of more than 30 Agents, mostly dedicated to the Italian market.

Sivit, in addition to being a 50% owner of ErreLAB, produces 90% of the range of products that are part of the ErreLAB catalog, while Covema’s experience is crucial for the commercial and marketing aspects.

During the meeting, Sivit carried out two interventions from its laboratories presenting some news on the technical topics of transparent casting and certifications.

With regard to transparent castings, the new product for high thicknesses called LASTRA HSP has completed the range of “slab” products, low yellowing epoxy formulations, without solvents and with high gloss. With these products, through their special formulation, it is possible to create self-leveling surfaces with different thicknesses: from 2 mm up to 5 cm in a single stage.

In this way it is possible to incorporate objects and create elements that require high thicknesses, such as tables, river tables, artistic objects.

Sivit has been paying particular attention to the theme of “certifications” for several years and there are now numerous products that can make use of certificates concerning CE Marking, Slipperiness, Reaction to Fire and Emissions.

In this regard, during the meeting, the Sivit laboratory technicians brought to the attention of the ErreLAB Network that starting from April all the finishes, water and solvent, transparent and colored, will be “antibacterial“, with reference to the ISO standard 22196, which measures antibacterial activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces.
