Waterproofing system for containment tanks.
The system is based on high-solids epoxy resins reinforced with fiberglass, with a final thickness of approximately 2 mm.
Substrate Preparation
The surface to be treated must be solid, with residual moisture below 3%, and free from oily substances or chemical contaminants. Evaluate the most suitable preparation method: sandblasting, hydro-sandblasting, high-pressure water cleaning, or other mechanical preparation.
Verification of Surface Soundness
Remove all loose or non-cohesive areas and restore them using PAVIRAPID or SIVITCOL.
Expansion Joints
If expansion joints or structural cracks are present, fill them with the elastic epoxy formulation FLUIDEPOX FLEX, reinforced with fiberglass mesh, with a consumption of 0.100–0.200 kg per linear meter.
Wall–Floor Connection
To facilitate the application of the coating, create a cove using PAVIRAPID SGUSCI. For joints, follow the procedure described above.
Application
- Apply a skim coat of ECOFONDO PLUS FIBRATO at a consumption of approximately 1.0 kg/m².
- Repeat the skim coat of ECOFONDO PLUS FIBRATO, again at ≈1.0 kg/m².
- Apply 3 successive roller coats of PAVIRESISTANT TIXO over three consecutive days, for a total consumption of approximately 0.90 kg/m².
The resulting coating thickness is approximately 2 mm.
