PAVIWATER® SATINATO A+B
Satin water-based coloured epoxy
Two-component water-based epoxy enamel for covering concrete floors and walls in interiors.
Excellent wear resistance.
Good resistance to water, alkaline solutions, detergents and hydrocarbons
Easy cleaning and sanitizing of the surface.
Satin appearance.
Type: Waterborne Epoxy Compound

Description
Colored two-component water-based top-coating based on epoxy and amine resins in water dispersion, with high solids content.
Excellent wear resistance.
Easy surface cleaning.
Good resistance to water, alkaline solutions, detergents and hydrocarbons, both high-boiling and low-boiling (oil, diesel, gasoline, etc.).
The formulation is supplied in an already colored version for some colors or in a non-pigmented version (NP) with COLORPASTA W separately.
Use
Coloring of indoor concrete floors.
Finishing for epoxy cement or epoxy thick coatings.
Suitable for food environments, as it is easy to clean and sanitize. Renovate of the color for old resin floors
Wall coating for aseptic premises in the food industry, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, public areas.
Support
The substrate must have a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm2 and a tensile strength of 1,5 N/mm2.
Preparation of the support
Concrete must be solid, dry (seasoned if newly built), leveled, absorbent, not polluted by oils, detergents, disarming, powders or other substances.
Evaluate the most convenient type of mechanical preparation (grinding or sanding).
Holes and slight anomalies can be repaired in advance with PAVIRAPID or SIVITCOL.
Tiles must be sanded or polished to a completely opaque surface. Existing resin coatings must be abrasive or polished, thus eliminating dust residues.
Absorbent or chalking cementitious surfaces should first be treated with PAVIWATER T68 or with a coat of PAVIWATER SATINATO diluted with 50% by weight of water.
Substrate prepared by grinding showing signs must be scratched with suitable Sivit formulations.
Wet supports or those subject to capillary rise of moisture must be treated with ECOFONDO (contact Sivit Technical Assistance).
Application
PAVIWATER SATINATO ALREADY COLORED
At the time of application, combine the two pre-dosed components in a single container. Mix carefully for 2 minutes, using appropriate equipment (drill with propeller) and taking care to clean the walls of the containers with a spatula in order to mix all the product.
Once the mixing phase is complete, respect the induction time(*) and let the product rest in the bucket.
Add the dilution water slowly and under stirring (recommended 7% by weight), stir the product for 1 minute and apply by roller for a consumption of 0.130 kg/m2 for each coat.
PAVIWATER SATINATO NP + COLORPASTA W
Mix the coloring paste well to homogenize.
At the time of application, add COLORPASTA W to component A and mix carefully. Then add component B and mix for 2 minutes, using appropriate equipment (drill with propeller) and taking care to clean the walls of the containers with a spatula in order to mix all the product. Once the mixing phase is complete, respect the induction time(*) and let the product rest in the bucket.
Add the dilution water slowly and under stirring (recommended 7% by weight), stir the product for 1 minute and apply by roller for a consumption of 0.130 kg/m2 for each coat
(*) PAVIWATER SATINATO must be applied within the time of use and after the induction time as a function of the ambient temperature, see table at the bottom of the sheet.
Attention: avoid preparing partial mixtures of product to avoid accidental mistakes, which could result in failure or complete hardening. Failure to observe induction and application times may result in the unevenness of the finish, evidenced by different colours and degrees of gloss.
As a topcoat, it should be applied by roller, uniforming the surface with parallel movements.
For applications at low temperatures, the formulation can be diluted with a 1:1 mixture of water and ethyl alcohol.
To obtain a non-slip surface, add 3-5% by weight of SFERETTE DI VETRO (FINI or GROSSE).
Keep the product stirred to avoid sedimentation.
PAVIWATER SATINATO can also be applied by smoothing: in this case, add to the mixture 30% by weight of SFERETTE DI VETRO GROSSE and apply by American trowel, for maximum consumption of 0,200 kg/m2 of PAVIWATER SATINATO.
Protect the applied product from humidity, condensation, and water for at least 24 hours.
Warnings
Shades of yellow, orange or some reds may require several shots to obtain a good covering effect (in some cases an additional first coatof white color is recommended).
Different production batches of the same color may have small differences: where possible use material from a single production batch for each area to be treated.
Some colors based on organic pigments (red, blue, green, intense yellows, ...) tend to loose color if they are subjected to abrasion (dry or wet): in these cases it is advisable to protect the color with a transparent finish (from the FINIWATER or FINISOL series).
Do not apply to plaster casts intended for humid environments (e.g. showers).
Product for professional use, the buyer undertakes to follow the above warnings in the application of the purchased product and the instructions in the safety data sheet.
