Static-dissipative and conductive resin floors: high performance resistance and safety
Pavimento in resina antistatico
In the world of more technical works, there are realities that need areas built with certain requirements, which ensure complete safety and high levels of performance. In this sense the realization of a suitable flooring, which can allow all this is a more than fundamental requirement. Some of these work environments have high accumulations of static electricity and for this reason must be protected from the phenomena of Electrostatic Discharge, also called ESD.
What kind of reality are we talking about? We mention among the most important that present this type of need the hospital sector, with particular attention to surgery, chemical and pharmaceutical industries and electronic companies. If the working area of one of these sectors were not to conform, there would be a risk of serious danger to the life of the operators, as well as the impairment of production itself.
What kind of flooring do these workplaces need?
Of a static-dissipative resin floor, or a conductive resin floor; these are types of continuous resinous flooring, able to dissipate the surface electrical charge in the presence of machinery, Electronic or electromedical equipment and their resistive capacity is measurable Ohm.
Conductive resin floors are laid where there is a risk of explosions ( ATEX zones) due to the spontaneous release of electrostatic charges. This type of manufacture is equipped with an Ohm resistivity between 104-106, it is usually typical in gas and flammable liquid storage warehouses.
Static-dissipative resin floors are installed in areas where electrostatic accumulation can damage machinery. The resistivity of this type of surface can vary between 105 and 109 Ohm depending on the need and is typically installed in hospital and electronic environments or wherever there are precision machinery that would risk being compromised ESD phenomena.
In addition to the characteristics mentioned above, resin floors of this type have several other characteristics, such as the great resistance to abrasion and chemical agents, impermeability, are very easy to clean, sanitize and decontaminate, at least they can be made with different degrees of non-slip.
Sivit static-dissipative resin floors:
CONDUPLAST: static-dissipative epoxy levelling agent. This type of solution combines the ability to dissipate electrostatic charges and high levels of mechanical resistance: two characteristics that make it suitable for electronic industries, warehouses for inflammable deposits, rooms in which trolleys are routed, operating theatre.
SUPERCONDUPLAST: static-dissipative epoxy primer. Equipped with great mechanical resistance, it has the characteristic of dissipating electrostatic charges not only through the thickness, but also through the surface. It can be used as a first layer in the construction of antistatic resin floors and allows to make antistatic resin floors electrically insulated. Thanks to its characteristics it finds an ideal location in the electronic industries.
PAVIWATER ANTISTATIC: static-dissipative epoxy enamel aqueous emulsion Product of dilutable finish in water, allows to dissipate the electrostatic charges, which makes it suitable for the finishing of conductive resinous coatings. It also offers excellent wear resistance, is easy to clean and is resistant to water, alkaline solutions, detergents and hydrocarbons such as oil, gasoline, diesel. It can be used to renew the colour of old resin floors or to glaze wall coverings, especially in the electronics industry.
ANTISTATIC FINISOL: aliphatic polyurethane solvent enamel Used to finish static-dissipative resin coatings, it has an excellent resistance to aging caused by UV rays, the attack of acid rain, corrosive atmospheres. It is therefore used very well in the electronic and chemical industries. Once dry, antistatic Finisol forms a flexible film: this makes it also suitable for the treatment of metal surfaces.
ESD ENAMEL: static-dissipative intermediate coloured in aqueous emulsion This aqueous-based formulation makes it possible to obtain a film that disperses electrostatic charges on the floor surface. In addition, the degree of humidity of the environment does not influence the electrical conduction capacity. It adheres well on various supports, including plastic, aluminum, galvanized sheet metal and, once dry, has an opaque appearance. It is used in combination with Antistatic Paviwater and Antistatic Finisol, of which it resumes the color.
CONDUPLAST W: static-dissipative epoxy-levelling agent in aqueous emulsion Conduplast W coatings are able to dissipate electrostatic charges, harden even in wet environments and offer great permeability. The final result is an opaque, non-slip and easy to clean surface. Conduplast W can be used for electronic industries, premises where inflammable goods are deposited, areas where trolley guided carriages pass, operating theatres.
SUPERCONDUPLAST W: static-dissipative epoxy primer in aqueous emulsion Designed specifically for wet soils and with rising humidity, Superconduplast W is a primer capable of dispersing electrostatic charges through the thickness and surface of the coating. It can therefore be used as a first layer in the construction of static- dissipative resin floors and allows to make antistatic resin floors electrically insulated. Ideal for use in the electronics industry.
