Epoxy skim-coating for damp substrates
Colored skim-coating system based on water-based epoxy resin for damp substrates with reverse hydrostatic pressure up to 2.5 bar.
The system has a thickness of approximately 1.5 mm.
Substrate Preparation
Concrete substrates must be solid, dry, level, absorbent, and free from oils, detergents, dust, or any other contaminants.
For newly cast screeds, the normal curing time must be respected.
Assess the most suitable mechanical preparation method: grinding or shot-blasting.
Application
- Apply a skim coat of ECOFONDO PLUS, diluted 15% with water and filled with 10% Quartz B2, at a consumption rate of approx. 0.6 kg/m². Apply using a smooth steel trowel.
- Apply a second skim coat of ECOFONDO PLUS, diluted 15% with water and filled with 10% Quartz B2, at a consumption rate of approx. 0.6 kg/m². Apply using a smooth steel trowel.
- Roll-apply a coat of PAVIWATER T68, diluted 1:2 with water, at a consumption rate of 0.04–0.05 kg/m².
- Apply a skim coat of PAVIPLAST W, at a consumption rate of approx. 0.8 kg/m². Apply using a smooth steel trowel.
- Apply with a roller one coat of PAVIWATER, diluted 10% with water, at a consumption rate of approx. 0.130 kg/m².
- Apply with a roller a second coat of PAVIWATER, diluted 10% with water, at a consumption rate of approx. 0.130 kg/m².
- Cut the resin coating along the concrete joints and seal with SIGILFLEX polyurethane elastomer.
