Trowel-applied epoxy coating on concrete or drywall walls
Trowel-applied system on concrete or drywall walls, based on epoxy resins and finished with a transparent polyurethane topcoat.
Substrate Preparation
Check that there is no moisture present and carefully inspect the surface to be treated.
The substrate must be solid, level, absorbent, and free from contamination such as oils, detergents, dust, or other substances.
Sand the surface and perform thorough dust removal.
Application
- Apply a first coat of FIBROPROTEX PRIMER diluted 1:1 with water by roller, at a consumption of 0.02–0.03 kg/m².
- After 30 minutes, apply a second coat of FIBROPROTEX PRIMER diluted 1:1 with water by roller, at a consumption of 0.02–0.03 kg/m².
- Apply a smoothing coat of COLORSIVIT M with a smooth trowel, at a consumption of 0.5–0.8 kg/m².
- Apply a first smoothing coat of COLORSIVIT MALTA at 0.5–0.6 kg/m² or alternatively COLORSIVIT MALTA FINE at 0.3–0.4 kg/m², both mixed with 0.5–1% of LIQUID THICKENER, depending on the desired surface texture, using a smooth trowel.
- Apply a second smoothing coat of COLORSIVIT MALTA at 0.5–0.6 kg/m² or alternatively COLORSIVIT MALTA FINE at 0.3–0.4 kg/m², both mixed with 0.5–1% of LIQUID THICKENER, depending on the desired surface texture, using a smooth trowel.
- Apply a first coat of transparent protective finish FINIWATER TOP by roller, at 0.10–0.125 kg/m².
- Apply a second coat of transparent protective finish by roller, using either FINIWATER or FINISOL in gloss, satin, or matte finish according to the required gloss level, at 0.10–0.125 kg/m².
