Trowel-applied epoxy coating on tiled floors
Trowel-applied system on tiled floors, with or without moisture, based on epoxy resins and finished with a polyurethane topcoat.
Substrate Preparation
The tiled substrate must be solid, level, absorbent, and free from contamination such as oils, detergents, dust, or other substances.
The system provides a vapor barrier function.
Grind the surface with an orbital machine using Vidiam abrasive tools until the ceramic surface becomes matte.
Perform thorough dust extraction using industrial vacuum cleaners.
Remove any loose parts and restore missing volumes with PAVIRAPID.
Application
- Apply a first smoothing coat of ECOFONDO PLUS FIBRATO with a smooth trowel at a consumption of 1.0 kg/m².
- Apply a second smoothing coat of ECOFONDO PLUS FIBRATO with a smooth trowel at a consumption of 1.0 kg/m².
- Apply a smoothing coat of FLUIDEPOX loaded 50% with QUARZO B1, at a consumption between 0.25 and 0.40 kg/m². While the product is still fresh, broadcast QUARZO B1 at a rate of 2–3 kg/m², taking care to remove any excess unbound quartz the following day.
- Apply a smoothing coat of COLORSIVIT MALTA with a smooth trowel, at a consumption of 1.2 kg/m².
- Apply another smoothing coat of COLORSIVIT MALTA with a smooth trowel, at a consumption of 0.5–0.6 kg/m², or alternatively COLORSIVIT MALTA FINE at 0.3–0.4 kg/m², depending on the desired surface texture.
- Apply a first coat of transparent protective finish FINIWATER TOP by roller, at a consumption of 0.10–0.125 kg/m².
- Apply a second coat of transparent protective finish by roller, using either FINIWATER or FINISOL, in gloss, satin, or matte finish according to the required gloss level, at a consumption of 0.10–0.125 kg/m².
Note. To achieve the declared fire reaction performance, the specified consumption rates in the application cycle must be strictly followed. The finished system thickness is binding and must not fall below the minimum required value.
