Trowel-applied epoxy coating

Substrate Preparation

The tiled substrate must be solid, level, absorbent, and free from oils, detergents, dust, or other contaminants. The system provides a vapor barrier function. Sand with an orbital machine using Vidiam abrasive tools until the ceramic surface becomes matte. Perform thorough dust removal using industrial vacuum cleaners. Remove any loose parts and restore missing volumes with PAVIRAPID.

Application

1. Apply the first skim coat with a smooth trowel of ECOFONDO PLUS FIBRATO at 1.0 kg/m².
   
2. Apply the second skim coat with a smooth trowel of ECOFONDO PLUS FIBRATO at 1.0 kg/m².
   
3. Apply a smooth trowel coat of FLUIDEPOX loaded 50% with QUARZO B1, at 0.25–0.40 kg/m². While still wet, broadcast QUARZO B1 at 2–3 kg/m², and the following day remove any excess unbound quartz.
   
4. Apply a smooth trowel coat of COLORSIVIT MALTA at 1.2 kg/m².
   
5. Apply a smooth trowel coat according to the desired texture:
   - COLORSIVIT MALTA, 0.5–0.6 kg/m²,
   - or COLORSIVIT MALTA FINE, 0.3–0.4 kg/m²,
   - or COLORSIVIT MALTA FUSION, 0.4–0.5 kg/m²,
   - or two coats of TRIDESIGN TOP, 0.5–0.7 kg/m².
   
6. Apply the first layer of transparent protective coating FINIWATER TOP with a roller at 0.10–0.125 kg/m².
   
7. Apply the second layer of transparent protective coating, FINIWATER, or alternatively FINISOL (glossy, satin, or matte depending on the required gloss level), at 0.10–0.125 kg/m².
