Waterborne epoxy self-levelling system with vapour barrier
Colored self-leveling system, approximately 2.5 mm thick, to be applied on substrates with rising damp.
Unlike "breathable" systems, which allow moisture to rise, this system acts as a vapor barrier and prevents moisture from rising from the ground.
The system is based on water-based epoxy resins.
The difference compared to the AUT02 system lies in the use of a water-based self-leveling product instead of a high-solid content product.
Substrate Preparation
Concrete substrates must be solid, leveled, absorbent, and free from oils, detergents, dust, or other contaminants.
For newly cast screeds, allow the normal curing time. Assess the most suitable mechanical preparation method: grinding or shot blasting.
Application
- Apply a skim coat of ECOFONDO PLUS, diluted 15% with water and loaded 10% with Quarzo B2, at a consumption of approximately 0.75 kg/m².
- If necessary, fill expansion joints with ECOFONDO PLUS, adding Quarzo B1 (product consumption is negligible). Apply a second skim coat of ECOFONDO PLUS, diluted 15% with water, at a consumption of approximately 0.5 kg/m².
- Apply PAVIWATER T68 with a roller, diluted 1:3 with water, at a consumption of approximately 0.05 kg/m².
- Pour PAVIPLAST W in the desired color, distributing 4 kg/m² of properly prepared product with a notched trowel and leveling the surface with a spiked roller.
- Apply a coat of PAVIWATER in the desired color with a roller, diluted 10% with water, at a consumption of approximately 0.130 kg/m².
- Cut the coating along the concrete joints and seal with SIGILFLEX polyurethane elastomer.
The resulting coating thickness is approximately 2.5 mm.
