Breathable system, reinforced with coarse aggregate.
Colored self-leveling system, reinforced with coarse aggregate, 2.5–3 mm thick, suitable for substrates that may have rising damp.
Unlike "breathable" systems, which allow moisture to rise, this system acts as a vapor barrier and prevents moisture from rising from the ground.
The system is based on water-based epoxy resins.
Substrate Preparation
Concrete substrates must be solid, dry, leveled, absorbent, and free from oils, detergents, dust, or other contaminants.
For newly cast screeds, allow the normal curing time. Assess the most suitable mechanical preparation method: grinding or shot blasting.
Application
- To saturate the substrate porosity, apply a coat of PAVIWATER T68 with a roller, diluted 1:3 with water, at a consumption of approximately 0.05 kg/m². On the same day, level the surface with ECOFER RASATURA, at a consumption of 0.7 kg/m², using a smooth trowel.
- If necessary, fill expansion joints with ECOFER AUTOLIVELLANTE, thickening the product with excess aggregate (product consumption is negligible). Pour ECOFER AUTOLIVELLANTE, distributing 5.5 kg/m² of properly prepared product with a notched trowel and leveling the surface with a spiked roller.
- Apply a coat of PAVIWATER in the desired color with a roller, diluted 10% with water, at a consumption of approximately 0.130 kg/m².
- Cut the coating along the concrete joints and seal with SIGILFLEX polyurethane elastomer.
The resulting coating thickness is approximately 2–3 mm.
Note
When working on old substrates, start the system by treating the surface with FLUIDEPOX, loaded 1:0.5 with Quarzo B1, at a consumption of approximately 0.45 kg/m² of FLUIDEPOX. While still fresh, broadcast Quarzo B2 at random, at a consumption of 2–2.5 kg/m², taking care the following day to remove any unbound excess quartz. Then proceed with step 3.
