Smoothing cycle on old resin coatings.
Colored epoxy smoothing cycle with formulations with a high solids content, with a thickness of about 1 mm to be applied on resin floors to be redeveloped.
Preparation of the substrate
The old resins coating must have strong adhesion to the substrate. The requested mechanical preparation is shot –blasting of the surface with the aspiration ricyrcle machine, in order to have a matt and rough surface.
Application
- Check that the old coating is solid everywhere and when not, remove the nonadhesed parts. Replace them with PAVIRAPID.
- Smoothing of the surface with PAVIPLAST, added with 1:0,8 of Quarzo B1, for a consumption of PAVIPLAST of around 0,40 kg/m2
Apply it with the american trowel. - Smoothing of a second layer of PAVIPLAST, added with 1:0,8 of Quarzo B0, for a consumption of 0,3 kg/m2. of PAVIPLAST and 0,24 kg/m2 of Quarzo B0. Apply it with the american trowel.
- Apply by roll a layer of PAVIWATER, diluted with 10% of water, for a consumption of around 0,130 kg/m2.
- The joints must be cut and sealed with the poly-urethane elastomer SIGILFLEX.
The final thickness of the resinous covering is around 1,0 mm.
