A question consistently arises on construction sites and in architecture studios when defining a strong, contemporary industrial aesthetic: epoxy resin or microcement? Two compelling materials, often mistaken for one another, yet fundamentally different in nature. Sivit Design chose not to answer with theory, but with a project. Cityrock was born precisely from this intersection.

The appeal of microcement

Microcement is a cement-based coating applied in thin layers, capable of recreating the raw, timeworn character of urban concrete. Its strength lies in its authenticity: natural tonal variations, a deep and tactile texture, and that deliberately imperfect finish that makes every surface unique. The system

The distinctive visual character of Cityrock is created by the cementitious skim coat: the layer applied with a smooth trowel that generates the bold texture, deep tonal variations, and material presence that set this collection apart from any other resin-based finishing system.

Cityrock is available in two application versions: Cityrock-F for floors and Cityrock-W for walls and stairs. Both systems are based on COLORSIVIT® mortar, with FLUIDEPOX® fire-retardant primer and quartz, and finished with transparent FINIWATER® protective coatings.
