FINISOL® COLORATO SATINATO A+B
Solvent-based coloured satin polyurethane aliphatic top-coating
Solvent-based two-component polyurethane enamel. Suitable for the coloring and finishing of resinous or concrete floors.
Good mechanical and chemical resistance.
Satin appearance.
Type: Polyurethane Solvent Top-Coatings
Description
Compound based on aliphatic polyurethane resins.
FINISOL COLORATO SATINATO forms a film that maintains good flexibility and good resistance to abrasion and scratching; the product can be applied on metal surfaces.
It resists ultraviolet rays thanks to UV filters that prevent photo-oxidative degradation.
The hardened film resists the aggression of different acids (for further details contact Sivit Technical Assistance).
Satin appearance.
The formulation is supplied in an already colored version for some colors or in a non-pigmented version with COLORPASTA S apart.
Use
Painting of concrete floors.
Top-coating for resinous coatings.
Anticorrosive treatment for concrete structures and iron. Particularly suitable for battery storage areas.
Preparation of the support
Each support must be cleaned, degreased and free of old non-cohesive parts.
Abrasive superficially to promote adhesion.
It is recommended to use clear abrasive papers with grain 150 or finer. After abrasion completely remove dust from the surface.
- Concrete surfaces and bricks must be solid, seasoned, leveled, absorbent, not polluted by oils, powders or other substances. Mechanically prepare the surface by sanding or grinding. Priming the surface by applying a recovery of PAVIWATER diluted with 20%by weight of water.
Any holes and slight anomalies can be repaired with PAVIRAPID or SIVITCOL. - Ceramized surfaces must be sanded or grinded until they are completely opaque and treated with a shot of FONDO PER PIASTRELLE.
- Existing resin coatings must be abrasive or grinded, thus eliminating dust residues. In the case of newly made resin coatings, it is necessary to check the over coating time of the previously applied product.
- Metal surfaces apply an anticorrosive epoxy primer after mechanical preparation (contact Sivit Technical Assistance).
Application
FINISOL COLORATO SATINATO ALREADY IN COLOR
Combine the two components (A+B) and mix with a mixer drill for 1 minute.
Apply the mixture by roller with a consumption of about 0.130 kg/m2 (for a film of about 40 microns).
To obtain a rough and non-slip surface, it is necessary to add, at the time of preparation of the 2 components, 3-5% of SFERETTE DI VETRO FINI or 10-20% of QUARZO B0/B1 (see table).
Avoid preparing partial mixtures of product to avoid errors, which could lead to a failure or incomplete hardening.
FINISOL COLORATO SATINATO NP + COLORPASTA S
Mix the colored paste well to homogenize.
At the time of application, add COLORPASTA S to component A and mix carefully. Add component B and mix with mixer drill for 1 minute.
Apply the mixture by roller with a consumption of about 0.130 kg/m2.
To obtain a rough and non-slip surface, it is necessary to add, at the time of preparation of the 2 components, 3-5% of SFERETTE DI VETRO FINI or 10-20% of QUARZO B0/B1 (see table).
Avoid preparing partial mixtures of product in order to avoid errors, which could lead to a failure or incomplete hardening.
Attention: in consideration of the nature of these types of product, particular attention should be paid during applications, in order to avoid imperfections such as rollers, overlaps, gloss differences, etc. ..In general, proceed to distribute the paint on the support homogeneously in the right quantity; when joining the newly painted area, take care to apply the painting a few centimeters away in order to discharge the excess product and then connect with the previous area by carefully dosing the quantity applied. Do not wait too long for overlaps, always paint "fresh on fresh". In the realization of large surfaces, the coordinated movement of several applicators is required.
Warnings: the product contains solvent, it is therefore necessary that the applicators wear the appropriate respiratory protection devices indicated on the Safety Data Sheet. It is also recommended to properly compartmentalize the work areas during application and in the following hours. During the evaporation phase, the nature of the solvents used can create annoying odors for non-experts present in nearby environments. When walkable it is recommended to ventilate the premises well.
Warnings
Shades of yellow, orange or some reds may require several shots to obtain a good covering effect (in some cases a first shot of white color is recommended).
Different production batches of the same color may have small differences: where possible use material from a single production batch.
Some colors based on organic pigments (red, blue, green, intense yellows, ...) tend to give up color if they are subjected to abrasion (dry or wet).
Product for professional use, the buyer undertakes to follow the above warnings in the application of the purchased product and the instructions in the safety data sheet.
