FIBROPROTEX®

One-component product based on copolymers of acrylic esters in water dispersion.
The filming process takes place by coalescence and the dry film obtained has good impermeability to water and low resistance to vapor diffusion.
The coating has low dirt retention, the appearance is matte, finely peeled.

Waterproofing coating suitable for fixing asbestos fibers to the support on asbestos cement slabs.
Elastomeric protective paint for cementitious structures and products.
The product is suitable to be applied on vertical and inclined surfaces, with a slope even greater than 10%.

On asbestos cement roofs it is used after application of FIBROPROTEX PRIMER and possible preliminary remediation treatment with FIBROPROTEX RISAN.

FIBROPROTEX is a ready-to-use one-component product, which only needs prior homogenization.
It can be applied with a brush, roller or airless spray after dilution of 3-5% with water.
Product consumption is a function of the thickness of the dry film:

• 0.35 l/m² , per 200 microns
• 0.40 l/m² , per 250 microns
• 0.53 l/m² , per 300 microns

N.B.: to cover asbestos-cement roofs it is mandatory to comply with the provisions of the legislation, so it is advisable to exceed at least 5% compared to the consumption related to the relevant encapsulating cycle.

Any cracks can be repaired by reinforcement with glass fabric, type MAT 175. In this case:

• apply about 1.0 mm of wet product (1.0 l/m2 ) to about 12 cm wide
• place a cutout of MAT 175 (about 10 cm wide) on the product just applied
• make the fabric adhere by passing a mini roller of synthetic hair moistened with water, taking care not to leave strands in relief
• if the crack is greater than 5.0 mm, repeat the operation after drying the first spread, with a cutout of MAT 300 of greater width (about 15 cm)

Different production batches of the same color may have small differences: where possible use material from a single production batch.
