THIN FILM SYSTEMS FOR MEDIUM STRESS
Thin-film coatings are created using coloured coating products capable of forming a continuous film with a dry thickness between 100 and 300 μm. These coatings, which are easy to apply by roller, quick to install, and economically convenient, provide an effective barrier and protection against both wear and liquids thanks to the latest-generation epoxy and polyurethane formulations.
The use of these systems is recommended when the substrate—typically concrete or resin—is in good structural condition and has a sufficiently level surface, without significant damage or irregularities.
Despite their limited thickness, Sivit thin-film coating systems offer good resistance to abrasion and wear, easily withstand rubber-tyred traffic, and perform well under both physical and chemical stress. For these reasons, one or more coating layers are often used as the final protective finish over more complex flooring systems.
Thin-film coatings are widely used in sectors such as light industry and manufacturing, and are suitable for production areas, vehicle transit zones, and material storage areas.
